the pierre hotel wanted banner ads that spoke to the hotel’s exclusivity and utmost privacy. i wrote a few ads for the hotel’s rooms and also for their grand ballroom, which they wanted to book more for weddings. we visited the hotel and got to know their clientele well enough to grasp their tone, which sounded like this:
I brought up the possibility of a newsletter to the pierre hotel. the pierre was excited about the potential, so i worked with my art director to create a layout with real copy and images that illustrated the possibilities of what we called “the pierrenial,” which led readers to the pierre’s historic event spaces and encouraged them to plan their next event at the pierre hotel.
